All glass used in production of insulated glass produced by Star*Lite conforms to ASTM Flat Glass Standard Specification C1036-01. The units use allmetal aluminum spacers, the spacer contains U.O.P molsiv 4000 moisture absorbing dessicant and are joined at the corners with allmetal nylon corner keys. A continuous bead of P.R.C. 488 polyisolbutylene is applied to the lateral sides of the spacer and also wrapped over each nylon corner key. A secondary seal P.R.C. 469F modified polysulfide or G.E. IGS 3713 silicon is applied to the outside of each spacer. This dual seal process produces hermetically sealed spacer frames for all Star*Lite insulated glass units. The completed Star*Lite unit is in compliance with ASTM E2188; E2189 and E2190, polysulfide IGCC-1695 and silicon IGCC-1697. Each Star*Lite unit is warranted for a period of 10 years.
